Well with everyone being so busy these days Facebook seems like the greatest thing on Earth. Next to texting that is. But when one of my children say they don't know how to respond to a hand written letter in a post on FB and just reply there, something is wrong. I guess schools are teaching kids how to properly manipulate the keys on their phones and computers. Don't get me wrong, they have to have computer skills today for school and especially work. However, I think it is equally important for them to know how to actually pick up pen and paper and write.
So, effective 1 May I will no longer be on FB. So I guess I'll lose contact with about 90% of my "friends." I'll try and do a better job keeping up this blog and make a habit of writing letters or sending postcards once a week. Skype, well email and let me know the day and time and I'll try. I'll still answer email, but maybe not right away.
